About Hasten

Built for the hours where work and life stop staying in their lanes.

Most people do not have a task problem first. They have a capture-and-sorting problem first. Thoughts arrive half-formed, private, and tangled up with personal obligations. Hasten exists to handle that honestly, without making you organize things before you've had a chance to think.

The origin

We built Hasten because we needed it.

When you are holding strategy, technical depth, and daily life in the same head at the same time, organisation breaks down fast. Thoughts arrive between meetings, late at night, mid-conversation. There is never a clean moment to capture them — and the apps that exist either demand perfect structure before you can save anything, or quietly send everything to a cloud system that feels wrong for the kind of private, half-formed thinking that actually drives decisions.

The standard productivity advice assumes a kind of consistency that does not match the real texture of a busy day. What was needed was something that would accept a messy thought without judgment, hold it safely on the device, and surface it at the right moment — no cloud account, no AI that reads everything, no complicated setup ritual.

That is the gap Hasten is designed to close. Not for productivity obsessives. For people doing real work under real pressure who cannot afford to lose a thought, or trust every thought to a server.

01

The problem was real before it became a product.

Holding company, code, and life in the same head, without a single private place to put it, is the exact problem Hasten solves.

02

Staying on your phone was a requirement, not a feature choice.

Raw thoughts are the most private data you have. They should not need to pass through someone else's infrastructure just to be saved.

03

Built by Bodhi Tattva INC, a Canadian AI company.

We build private, local-first software for people who need their tools to stay out of the way. Hasten is our first product and the one we use every day.

Why this product exists

Hasten is intentionally narrow so the core experience can be excellent.

This is not a team workspace, a giant productivity platform, or a calendar replacement. It is a mobile app for capturing raw thoughts, shaping them on your phone, and getting back to a clear next move.

Who it is for

People carrying more than one role at the same time.

Founders, operators, managers, parents, and multi-role adults whose day mixes work and life in one continuous stream.

What it is not

Not a platform that tries to run your whole life.

No collaboration theater, no giant dashboard maze, and no demand that every private thought immediately enter a cloud system.

Product convictions

Capture first. Organize second.

The user should never have to earn the right to save a thought. If structure arrives too early, the product has already failed the moment it matters most.

01

The core loop should stay credible without the network.

The local-first stance is part of the product promise, not a disclaimer buried in the fine print.

02

Review should reduce guilt, not generate more of it.

If the interface gets louder as the backlog grows, the product is heading in the wrong direction.

03

Subtraction is built into the design.

If an element does not clarify trust or hierarchy, it should leave. Calm is an interface decision.

Design language

The website follows the app instead of trying to be a separate project.

Same palette. Same type system. Same idea of quiet confidence. The site exists to make the app easier to trust, not to overwhelm it with more visual noise.

Typography

Fraunces carries the headlines. Plus Jakarta Sans keeps the body text sharp.

The balance lets the product feel warm without becoming soft or vague.

Color

The site uses the same colors as the app: the same navy, shadow, and background tones throughout.

Motion

Subtle reveals, drifting light, and restrained depth cues instead of loud gimmicks or gratuitous movement.
